My Story
I grew up on a small island near Seattle. My childhood was filled with nature, homemade meals, and open-ended play. I was creative, quirky, dirty, and playful.

A bullying experience in fifth grade taught me to distrust my peers. And, I learned to doubt myself. I believed I was unlikeable. I changed schools, and started attending a private school. I loved the academic challenge, but never quite fit in.

My family moved to Ukraine the year after I graduated from High School. It was a year of adventures, vodka, and friends. Afterwards, I came back to Washington State for undergraduate school. I majored in Art History with a minor in German. In 2000 I spent a year abroad in Vienna, Austria, which is where I discovered Tarot. I spent the year studying art, German, and Tarot. It was the year I became a witch.

In my twenties I met my husband, got a Masters in Teaching, and moved 10 times in 10 years. I mastered the art of making a home out of new places. I studied Feng Shui, built a Tarot practice, and studied Insight Meditation. I became a full time classroom teacher.

In 2014 I gave birth to twins. Motherhood and homemaking became my sacred journey. With babies there is nowhere else to be but the present moment. It was a very challenging, but rewarding, meditation.

In 2015 my mom and I created an art group, The Art Junket. Every two months our group gathered and shared new works of art that touched upon a common theme. It was one of the most restorative, invigorating, and enjoyable experiences of my life.

In 2017 I started MagicalHomemaking.com to teach people how to connect with the sacred in the mundane. I learned to how to use Tarot to help people move through challenging times.

In 2018 my family and I moved from the Bay Area of California to the Hudson Valley in New York. We bought a multigenerational home with my parents, surrounded by maple trees and birds, deer and rose bushes, even beavers and geese.

Currently my work is focused on holding space for soulful creatives going through change. I am called to stand at the threshold of becoming and help people create a life filled with magic.
