As the wheel turns toward Autumn, reflect on your hopes and fears. In this Write and Burn Ritual, you will reflect on limiting beliefs that hold you back, and then burn them! Afterward, you will want to drink a magical cup of water, to call in the positive energy of your hopes and dreams.
The Write and Burn Ritual
Release Fear. Embrace Hope.
You will need:
candle
heat-proof bowl
paper & pen
small glass of water
The Ritual
1. GROUND AND CENTER
2. ASK FOR HELP
Call in your Spiritual Support Team. Say 3 times,
”I am protected. I am loved. I am guided”
3. SET INTENTION Light a candle, and declare your intention to honor and release the fears that hold you back.
4. REFLECTION ON YOUR FEARS
Respond to these prompts to unearth your truth:
1. What do you want most in your life? 2. What will happen if you get it? 3. What are you afraid of happening? 4. Why are you afraid of that? 5. If you knew everything would be ok, what risky dream would you pursue? 6. Why can't you have that now? 7. What needs to change for you to up-level?
5. IDENTIFY WHAT YOU WANT TO BURN On separate slips of paper, write down 1-5 fears you wish to release.
6. BURN THAT One by one, read each paper aloud, and then feed it to the flame.
7. CONJURE YOUR HOPES & PRAYERS Call in a positive energy, the opposite of what you burned. For example: If you are releasing 'fear,' call in 'courage.' If you are letting go of an addiction, call in a healthy habit.
8. PROGRAM THE WATER Activate the feeling of being in your hopes. Fill your heart with the sensations. Then, speak your hopes and prayers into the water. Feel your positive energy alter the quality of the water.
9. DRINK TO YOUR FUTURE Drink the charged water, all of it. Envision the power and energy flowing through your body. Visualize the water healing the wounds opened.
10. BE GRATEFUL Thank your magical guides and divine supporters.
11. CLOSE THE RITUAL Let your intention candle burn to completion, or relight it when you return to your sacred space. Give the ashes to the Earth. Her soil will transform your fears into new life.
