In-Depth Study of the Tarot
VISUALS, ENERGETICS, NUMEROLOGY, AND MORE
Look at how different authors and artists illustrate each card. Examine the symbols on the card & the associations. Take a good look at the colors and characters in a card. Pay close attention to what is happening in the environment. Where are they? What messages does the landscape convey?
Write down any correlations: animals, herbs, energies, images, or themes.
Energetically, the vibration of a card is how it feels and the quality of its energy. The highest vibration of a card is expressed in its upright position and reflects its best qualities. The low vibration can be felt when a card is reversed and reveals the negative expressions of a card.
Take a look at numerology and consider the meanings of the numbers involved in the card. Then, consider where in the Hero's Journey the card lies, taking note of cards above and below and on the sides.
ASTROLOGY, ALTAR MAGIC, PERSONAL NOTES, AND MORE…
Boil down the essence of a card and create a list of Key Concepts.
Embodiment notes are related to how you might live and experience the magic and medicine of a card.
Over time you start to notice patterns of what a card Might Mean when it shows up in a reading. Keep track of these associations.
Altar Magic is when you bring a card to your altar to call in its energy. Use this box to record why you might bring a card to your altar.
The most important information to record is your personal experience with a card. Keep track of your meditations and how a card shows up in your life.
The Astrology notes help you explore the planets and zodiac signs associated with a card.
The last two pages are for research. Keep track of where you get your information so that you can identify your sources.
